The circumgalactic medium (CGM), situated between the star-forming regions of galaxies and intergalactic space, harbors the majority of baryonic mass in the Universe. This gas is shaped by complex interactions between intergalactic/satellite accretion and outflows from massive young stars or active galactic nuclei (AGN). It provides a unique laboratory for studying the multi-scale physics that governs galaxy growth. One particularly insightful measur...

thank you, prevent effect of global warming, minerals and temperature of water and air from sea are huge source of energy, reduce more than 50% using fossil fuel, fresh water, fertilizer(minerals+o2,n2,C), zero pollution, economy will rise by using jet plasma machine and compressed gas(Air) in isolated structure in water pool with more than 80 % efficiency, it has two vertical cylinders, in first level it transfers compressed gas(hot air) temperature from engine to sea water in pool for steam electric generator, steam combines with high cold Air pressure to produce pure water and electricity , New energy from sea will change world soon, there are other source of energy that with international cooperation in coastline we can reduce effect of global warming, further more we can prevent these phenomena like cyclone and flood and wildfire by using this hot seasonal atmospheric condition, recent years in summer, geothermal energy happens in surface of coastline, there are many countries in coastline with seasonal hot weather and water condition in comparison with middle Ocean, its more than 12 degrees ,this differences must decrease, in sum-up, by using this energy not only is economical but also reduce global warming in countries like Japan, China, India, Mediterranean countries, Iran, Brazil, Mexico, Us, Canada, (Africa and Arabian countries....) . I invented new method base on air pressure rules and quantum physics ionization sea water minerals in strong dynamic permanent magnet(SMCO) with special frequency(1500or 3000)/minute bases on paramagnetic and diamagnetic particles and electrical microwave electron wave field and electric chemical reactions and photon wave from semiconductors with special angle Cations like(K+, Mg++, Na+, H+, H++, li+, H2, ...) are transferred to in the second level into up level by vacuum pump from storage into combustion chambers and they combine with O2 and N2 ,... as major part of fuel for producing electricity and fresh water and fertilizer. this machine produces 150Megwatt/hour and 20000M3/DAY fresh water and fertilizer. 7 methods zero pollution for reducing global warming I mentioned in my profile. (G20 countries can solve these phenomena).

10,000 fake artificial Einsteins rehashing and regurgitating themselves (LLMs) among themselves. But who will verify their claims, if we have outsourced our thinking to fAI? A lot of AI hype from the known suspects. However, the AI bubble is already about to burst.

  • @brucethomas471

These thoughts presented are logical and follow a definite progression. These would indicate that the AI has the ability to remember past interactions, and evaluate them for quality and applicability to future interactions. And learn to verify its own conclusions before presenting them. This self evaluative function would restrict hallucinations and false conclusions. But can it grow wise? And even if it does, say by laying out plans to reverse climate change, who will want to listen? Vested interests? Not a chance. A new verse for John Lennon. Imagine no militaries. It's pretty hard to do. Everything to kill and die for, unless your AI does it for you. Imagine the AI, controlling all the world. You, you, you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday we can shut them down, and peace will have found its wondrous sun.

It will become interesting when the compute is available that can take the experimental data and test it through other theoretical viewpoints than the standard model. "Newton and the apple tree, or whatever..." is exactly the point. Studying how the 'standard model' (which describes the universe minus dark matter, minus dark energy and gravity is the most succesful model of a slightly different universe at this point in time) came to be, gives the much needed insight of how serious one can actually take the consideration of the physical reality of this model. And I think it to be extremely unlikely. As of now, there is only circumstantial evidence of the existence of some signals that don't refute quarks. But how do neutrino's have mass they are not supposed to have, not through the higgs field I've gathered. As Brian Greene commented on string theory, without evidence it is not much more than an advanced game of dungeons an dragons. I think letting machine learning solutions decide more and more on alternatives on quantization, particles, quarks, and forces, as well as laws of energy (dark energy?) conservation etc. because at a certain point it's probability of failing to come up with a better theory than that become infinitesmal, or hypersmall.

Time is absolute, but so is universal coordinates, there is no going “backwards” in space either there is only causal events, you’re using the term backwards to encapsulate two explicitly different phenomenon and it’s a failure of language not an artifact of how the universe actually works. You can “look” or “project” to a previous state of a systems evolution based on time coordinates to figure out their spatial coordinates, but returning to another spatial coordinate or decelerating is not “reversing the arrow”

Who will help create a working group involving students to work on new experiments? It is necessary to conduct direct experiments with direct proof of the constancy of the speed of light. For 119 years, by determining the constancy of speed of light, all experiments and Michelson-Morley experiments are indirect and incomplete. If the Michelson-Morley experiment was carried out on a bus or airplane and was used to determine speed. only then will this experience be direct. Therefore, Einstein does not rely on the Michelson-Morley experiment. Question. Do you have an example of such direct experience? New technologies, new research tools Let me suggest for schoolchildren and students on one's own to measure the Universe, dark energy, black holes, etc. To do this, I propose two practical devices. «laser tape measure *+reference distance* 1,000,000 m”» and «Michelson-Morley HYBRID Gyroscope». I am writing to you with a proposal for the joint invention of a HYBRID gyroscope from non-circular, TWO coils with a new type of optical fiber with a “hollow core photonic-substituted vacuum zone or (NANF)” where - the light travels 500000 (In a laser tape measure, the length of the optical fiber is fixed at 1000000 ) meters in each arm, while it does not exceed the parameters 94/94/94 cm, and the weight is 94 kg. Manufacturers of “Fiber Optic Gyroscopes” can produce HYBRID gyroscopes for educational and practical use in schools and higher education institutions. Einstein dreamed of measuring the speed of a train, an airplane - through the Michelson-Morley experiment of 1881/2024, and only then would the experiment be more than 70% complete. This can be done using a fiber optic HYBRID gyroscope. Based on the completion of more than 70% of Michelson's experiment, the following postulates can be proven: Light is an ordered vibration of gravitational quanta, and dominant gravitational fields adjust the speed of light in a vacuum. you can make scientific discoveries; in astronomy, astrophysics, cosmology, higher theoretical physics,... (We are not looking for ether, we will see the work of gravitational quanta) The result is a «theory of everything» in a simple teaching device and a new tape measure for measuring the universe.

What do the Twistors of Roger Penrose and the Geometric Unity of Eric Weinstein and the exploration of one extra spatial dimension by Lisa Randall and the "Belt Trick" of Paul Dirac have in common? Is the following idea a “Quantized” model related to the “Vortex Theory” proposed by Maxwell and others during the 19th century? In Spinors it takes two complete turns to get down the "rabbit hole" (Alpha Funnel 3D--->4D) to produce one twist cycle (1 Quantum unit). Can both Matter and Energy be described as "Quanta" of Spatial Curvature? (A string is revealed to be a twisted cord when viewed up close.) Mass= 1/Length, with each twist cycle of the 4D Hypertube proportional to Planck’s Constant. In this model Alpha equals the compactification ratio within the twistor cone, which is approximately 1/137. 1= Hypertubule diameter at 4D interface 137= Cone’s larger end diameter at 3D interface where the photons are absorbed or emitted. The 4D twisted Hypertubule gets longer or shorter as twisting or untwisting occurs. (720 degrees per twist cycle.) If quarks have not been isolated and gluons have not been isolated, how do we know they are not parts of the same thing? The tentacles of an octopus and the body of an octopus are parts of the same creature. Is there an alternative interpretation of "Asymptotic Freedom"? What if Quarks are actually made up of twisted tubes which become physically entangled with two other twisted tubes to produce a proton? Instead of the Strong Force being mediated by the constant exchange of gluons, it would be mediated by the physical entanglement of these twisted tubes. When only two twisted tubules are entangled, a meson is produced which is unstable and rapidly unwinds (decays) into something else. A proton would be analogous to three twisted rubber bands becoming entangled and the "Quarks" would be the places where the tubes are tangled together. The behavior would be the same as rubber balls (representing the Quarks) connected with twisted rubber bands being separated from each other or placed closer together producing the exact same phenomenon as "Asymptotic Freedom" in protons and neutrons. The force would become greater as the balls are separated, but the force would become less if the balls were placed closer together. Therefore, the gluon is a synthetic particle (zero mass, zero charge) invented to explain the Strong Force. The "Color Force" is a consequence of the XYZ orientation entanglement of the twisted tubules. The two twisted tubule entanglement of Mesons is not stable and unwinds. It takes the entanglement of three twisted tubules to produce the stable proton.

41:53 The asymmetry of time actually implies the accumulation of time, more precisely, history, variety, aging, and the world itself already has many-sided (~ "multi-world") and improvisational (~"probabilistic") properties: 0. Pauli, RT: "Indeed, it is clear that we cannot report the translational motion of the entire universe and check whether this motion affects the course of any processes. The principle of relativity therefore has heuristic and physical meanings only if it is valid for any closed system. However, the question arises, when can a system be considered closed? Is the remoteness of all the masses outside the considered system sufficient for this? The answer, according to experience, says that in the case of uniform and rectilinear motion, this is enough, but for other movements it is not enough. Summarizing, we can say that the postulate of relativity includes the statement that the uniform and rectilinear motion of the "center of gravity" of the Universe relative to some closed system does not affect the processes in this system." 1. Obviously, the opposite is true for an expanding universe. Apparently, the researcher can detect and measure the effect of the aging process in his own frame of reference caused by the phenomenon of global time t(universe)=1/H: ds^ 2=c^2dт^2=g(00)c^ 2dt^2=(1-Ht*)c^2dt^2, where the parameter Ht* it shows how much of the global time has "passed" in its own frame of reference, t* is the measurement time according to the clock of the resting observer, t is the duration of any physical process in its own frame of reference relative to the clock. 2.The observer can measure the increase in the duration of the processes in the laboratory frame of reference: dт=[√ g(00)]dt=[√(1-Ht*)]dt~(1-Ht*)dt<dt; that is ∆t/t=Ht*. {For example, the lifetime of a free neutron (t=878.4sec) in one year (t*=1 year) increases by: ∆t=6*10^-8 sec, at H=2.2*10^-18sec.} And for t*=t, ∆t=Ht^2. {For example, the duration of the Earth's rotation around the Sun per year (t=t*=1 year) increases by: ∆t=2 milliseconds.} In other words, ∆w/w(0)=Ht*, where w(0) is the oscillation frequency of any physical periodic process, ∆w is the frequency shift. {For example, the frequency of the green part of the light spectrum [v(0)=5.4*10^14 Hz] will "turn red" for one hour (t*=1 hour) at: ∆v=4.27Hz.} 3. “Thus, Einstein's special theory of relativity does not eliminate Newtonian absolute space; it only creates for all physics, including electrodynamics, the same position that mechanics has occupied since Newton's time." (Born, RT, chapter VI, paragraph 10). 4. Indeed, the SR actually eliminated only relative simultaneity, reserving the right to be simultaneous within its own frame of reference. GR partially “notices” this problem: clock synchronization is an ambiguous procedure here and depends on the path along which it is carried out. That is, RT does not eliminate simultaneity completely. 5. However, the observer can choose the observable Universe as his own frame of reference, and then the redshift of the spectral lines in the global/own frame of reference is characterized by the value: z= [w-w(0)]/w(0)=Hl/c, where l is the characteristic size of the frame of reference, and in this case, l=l(universe). Then in the frame of reference at t*=t(universe)=1/H for the light signal ds^2=0, therefore, we have the invariance of the speed of light c=cdl/dx(0) with respect to spontaneous Lorentz transformations. 6.That is, along the time coordinate x(0), own frame of reference turns out to be relative to itself: moreover, all subsequent states (which are equal, but not equivalent) are causally related to each other (apparently, this circumstance leads to exotic metaphysical interpretations of quantum theory). 7.Introducing the concept of 4-space, a fundamental difference between time x(0) and spatial coordinates is allowed. It supposedly consists of the fact that along the world lines corresponding to physical processes, x(0) can only grow, whereas x(1), x(2), x(3) can change as you please. However, the unification of spatial coordinates and time into a single manifold is not formal but is a real reflection of the picture of the world, and self-closure does not take place for the 4-line. Apparently the time coordinate pulls along with it the spatial coordinates, because if it is impossible to return to the past, then it is also impossible to return to where "there" changes with the spontaneous accumulation of space-time, history. 8. By the way, this approach allows you to calculate the exact age of the universe in the laboratory. For example, H=(∆w/t*)/w(relic).* And this is not about the "fatigue” of light, but about its aging, like everything else. P.S. The inscription on the ancient Roman clock: “More than you think”.**

----------- *) - If the universe is really 13.8 billion years old, then every day (t*=1 day) the frequency of the relic radiation will decrease: The shift is ∆w ~ 0.2 Hz. Thus, after a series of measurements “over time” and according to the values of ∆w, the age of the Universe can be determined. From the beginning of observations (1964) to the present, the relative shift is: ∆w/w(relic)~4*10^-9. **) - However, calculations show that w(relic)^2=πw(pl)H, that is, H=1.72*10-20sec^-1. 0.Expansion is a special kind of motion, and it seems that the Universe is a non-inertial frame of reference that performs variably accelerated motion along a phase trajectory, and thereby creates a phase-quantized 4-space. And according to the strong equivalence principle: g=|a*|=πcH [=r(pl)w(relic)^2]. And w(relic)^2=πw(pl)H. 1.Real gravitational fields are variable in space and time, and we can now talk about the fact that it is possible to generate a gravitational field in a non-inertial frame of reference (|a|=g).That is, finally achieve global (instead of local in GR) compliance with the strong equivalence principle. 2.According to general estimates, this acceleration is: |a|=πcH: the equations of the gravitational field can be arrived at based on the Poisson equation ∆ф=4πGp, and for a weakly curved metric, the time component of the energy-momentum tensor: T(00)~=pc^2. Therefore, the Poisson equation can be written as: ∆g(00)=8πGT(00)/c^4, where g(00) is the time component of the metric tensor. This equation is true only in the non-relativistic case, but it is applicable to the case of a homogeneous and isotropic Universe, when Einstein's equations have only solutions with a time-varying space-time metric. 3.Then the energy density of the gravitational field: g^2/8πG=T(00)=pc^2, where the critical density value determining the nature of the model is: p=(3/8π)H^2/G. Hence it follows: g~πcH. And according to the strong equivalence principle: g=|a|=πcH. 4.Then the energy density of the relic radiation, that is, the evolving primary gravitational-inertial field (= space-time): J= g^2/8πG=(πcH)^2/8πG=(ħ/8πc^3)w(relic)^4~1600 quanta/cm^3, which is in order of magnitude consistent with the observational-measured data (about 500 quanta/cm^3).} 5.Then all shifts should be shifted in a less favorable direction for the experiment by 127.9 times. 6.By the way, at t(universe)= πт(pl), w(“relic”) was =w(pl); at 1/”H”= t(universe)=380000 years, w(“relic”)/2π was =3.5*10^14 Hz! It follows ∆w=[w(relic)^3/πw(pl)]t*~(1,7*10^-8)t*. Thus, the frequency shift of the relic radiation over 1 year is: ∆w~0.5Hz. That is, the relative frequency shift is ∆w/w(relic)~5*10^-13. And since the discovery (1964), respectively, ∆w=30 Hz, ∆w/w(relic)=3*10^-11.

I really enjoyed the maps drawn by Chris Wornell - and they are cleverly drawn, as the neutrinos in lepton land are very close to the antimatter border (because they may be Majorana particles, and anti-particles to themselves!!). The maps are fun, but also very well thought out.

Since then, I've continued the journey through infinitely large and infinitely small worlds, embarking on a series of other books about particles, quantum phenomena, black (or white) holes, CMB, gravitational waves, ... Much to my delight !

Thanks for the talk. Hope Raffaella read the below comment. Existence is time. Change is flow of time. When there is a sub system of the universe that is cyclic, only then we can measure the rate of flow of time with the resolution of period of the cycle or fractions there of. Time only flows in one direction - before to after. When universe reaches an equilibrium and where the entropy is maximum, as long as there is change in configs time still flows. The initial incorrect use of the word "forward" with respect to the direction of flow of time has misled us to think reverse flow of time is a meaningful concept. The forward and reverse are not an absolute ideas just like Up and Down are not absolute ideas in remote, empty interstellar space. There the Up is where our head is oriented relative to our feet. IMPORTANT NOTE: I am talking about time of physics - not psychological time that humans perceive. Microphysics is not time reversible in physical universe. It is is velocity reversible and only in idealized situations. Billiard balls are hotter after collision. Also the forces of gravitation and static electricity do not (presumably) change their direction when the time is reversed. So the microphysics may not be acceleration reversible. Time reversibility of microphysics is only a mathematical concept. In our universe we do find that Entropy seems to increase in the same direction of the apparent direction of time flow i.e. past to present. It is just a statistical phenomenon and not a fundamental law of physics. But the increase in entropy is not the reason for the direction of flow of time. It may be that our senses and the way we perceive time, which is what I call psychological time, has been trained to relate the direction of flow of time with the increasing entropy. But as per the Janus point theory of Julian Barbour, the entropy may have fluctuated towards the big bang even though the physical time was flowing from past to present. The video is more about astronomy than about time it seems.

Hi @scenFor109, we are working on upgrading our recording systems. The clipping doesn't happen in person, so it's hard to know for our small staff if it's happening on the recording. We are a small nonprofit with a small staff so we appreciate your patience while we get a new system in place.

General Relativity predicts dilation wherever there is an astronomical quantity of mass, not singularities. Dilation explains dark matter. In the 1939 journal "Annals of Mathematics" Einstein wrote - "The essential result of this investigation is a clear understanding as to why the Schwarzchild singularities (Schwarzchild was the first to raise the issue of General Relativity predicting singularities) do not exist in physical reality. Although the theory given here treats only clusters (star clusters) whose particles move along circular paths it does seem to be subject to reasonable doubt that more general cases will have analogous results. The Schwarzchild singularities do not appear for the reason that matter cannot be concentrated arbitrarily. And this is due to the fact that otherwise the constituting particles would reach the velocity of light." He was referring to the phenomenon of dilation. Mass that is dilated is smeared through spacetime relative to an outside observer. It's the phenomenon our high school teachers were talking about when they said "mass becomes infinite at the speed of light". A graph illustrates its squared nature, dilation increases at an exponential rate the closer you get to the speed of light. A time dilation graph illustrates the same phenomenon, it's not just time that gets dilated. Dilation will occur wherever there is an astronomical quantity of mass because high mass means high momentum. This includes the centers of very high mass stars and the overwhelming majority of galaxy centers. The mass at the center of our own galaxy is dilated. This means that there is no valid XYZ coordinate we can attribute to it, you can't point your finger at something that is smeared through spacetime. In other words that mass is all around us. Dilation does not occur in galaxies with low mass centers because they do not have enough mass to achieve relativistic velocities. It has been confirmed in 6 very low mass galaxies including NGC 1052-DF2 and DF4 to have no dark matter, in other words they have normal rotation rates. All binary stars have normal rotation rates for the same reason.

As an engineer/scientist, I have always discussed systems with a focus on "the level of abstraction" that you are analyzing a system. Level of abstraction define the "neighborhood" of forces and elements that need to be analyzed to determine cause and effect relevant to the initialization force and the resultant behavior of a system. As I continue to develop my hierarchical design for a synthetic brain, it is clear that this approach is the most viable approach to understanding how sentience and consciousness evolve. My upcoming paper, "Emergence, Creating Human-Aligned Synthetic Sentient AGI ", is the result of this approach.
